Figma vs Framer: design file or published site?
One is where the system lives. The other is how the launch page gets on the internet. They are not competitors until you force them to be.

Different jobs
Figma is for product, brand and anything a developer will implement. Framer is for a marketing site you want to publish from the canvas. If you are arguing about which one “wins”, the brief is muddy.
Choose Figma when
There is a design system, a product surface, or a handoff. Components and inspect mode earn their keep. Clients can comment without you exporting a 40-page PDF.
Choose Framer when
The job is a campaign or a launch page and you do not want a separate build. Motion is cheaper here. The CMS is fine until it is not.
The split that holds up
Keep the source of truth in Figma. Ship the campaign in Framer or Webflow. Rebuild the logo in neither. If a junior is tracing the wordmark every Thursday, the system has already slipped.
