Linear vs Notion: tracker or workspace?

Notion can pretend to be a tracker. Linear refuses to be a wiki. Pick the one that matches how the studio ships.

Two jobs

If nobody knows what you decided, start with Notion. If a bug has been open for eleven days with no owner, start with Linear.

Fast, strict, keyboard-first. Cycles and issues. It will not host the brand guidelines, and that is the point.

Guidelines, notes, calendars and a homemade CRM. Flexibility is the appeal and the trap. Without an owner it is a junk drawer with nice type.

Work with a ticket and a date lives in Linear. Writing around it lives in Notion. If a task exists in both places, it exists in neither.
